This is Trevor Chandler’s blog. I am a retired biologist, Educator Emeritus at Thompson Rivers University, where I taught ecology and environmental studies in the Open Learning Division. I husband an organic orchard on the banks of the Fraser River in the dry interior of B.C. In the past I have also worked with African bees in East Africa, helped set up the International Council for Research in Agroforestry, and facilitated land use planning processes in BC. I still do a bit of consulting work.

I am about to set off on a trip to Madagascar to follow up work I started 30 years ago on baobab trees (Adansonia sp). I’m new to blogging, so it may take me a while to get it right. I’ll try to get some of my thoughts down before I go and then post regularly (including photos) as I travel.
